Kilroy has been presented with the Visionary Award for Columbia Square in Hollywood at the BOMA Greater Los Angeles 2015 TOBY Awards. This prestigious award recognizes an exceptional performance in visionary excellence. Each year the visionary award is presented to a development or civic organization that has made a profound impact on the greater Los Angeles community. This year Kilroy was granted the award for Columbia Square. Built originally in 1938, Columbia Square was the most modern technology of its time. Its cutting-edge recording studios and theaters cemented Hollywood as the entertainment center of the universe. Fast-forward some 76 years to today, Kilroy is undertaking a modern interpretation of this historic studio lot and a new epicenter for creativity and innovation. This development is a mixed-use campus providing collaborative indoor and outdoor environments, walkable shopping, classic urban living and Class “A” workspace to world class companies such as Viacom and Neuhouse. The visionary award is an honor that recognizes the insightfulness, passion and painstaking work it takes to transform a vision into reality.
