Why The Kilroy Stars?
In 2020, the isolating times of the pandemic cast a shadow over Kilroy’s traditional holiday celebrations. With Kilroy’s commitment to placemaking and connection, the Kilroy Stars were born. The 20’ light sculptures were placed atop properties throughout the regions to brighten the community and serve as a reminder of optimism and resilience.
Today, the stars are programmed with dynamic color patterns which inspire a sense of joy and highlight the celebrations within our communities.

Illuminating Communities
The Kilroy Stars span 20 feet in diameter and are outfitted with more than 30,000 individually programmable LED bulbs. The sparkling structures may be seen from miles away and oscillate in various rhythms and patterns of dynamic light.
